November 12, 2007
As expected, intense legal fireworks took place today in a London  courtroom in the appeal brought before the UK High court by the Crown Prosecution Service in the asset forfeiture case against James Ibori.

The High Court composed of Justice Gage, Justice Dame Steel and Ms. Justice Cox sat in camera all day taking fresh evidence and arguments against James Ibori from the Metroploitan Police represented by lawyers at the Crown Prosecution Service(CPS).

The justices have deferred their ruling till 10: 00 AM on Thursday November 15th 2007 at the same court.

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports reaching Saharareporters also shows that one member of James Ibori legal team was arrested by the Metropolitan Police in London, the source told our reporter that the lawyer is being interogated and may be charged for "perversion of justice", the press bureau of the Metropolitan Police would not deny or confirm if such arrest took place.

 More to come...
