Justice Ishaq Bello of the Federal High Court ruled that the suit did not state any clear course of action. He further stated that the candidates can only approach the courts after the primaries.

Three members of the PDP namely: Yahaya Kwande, Dubem Onyia and Lawal Kaita believed to be sympathetic to former VP Abubakar Atiku filed a suit challenging Jonathan's right to contest on the ground that his participation in the party primaries violates the zoning agreement of the PDP.

It is a wakeup call to Jonathan
The judgement of Federal High Court Abuja on zoning should be a wakeup
call to President Good luck Jonathan to walk the path of honour and
integrity.

A statement by Atiku Campaign Organisation in Abuja yesterday hailed
the judgement saying that the court has once again affirmed the
existence of zoning in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Campaign hailed the court for acknowledging that the PDP was bound
to observe its own rules and constitution and by extension the zoning
arrangement as enshrined in Section 7 (2) (C) of the ruling party’s
constitution.

The Campaign advised those entire still in denial of zoning to take
heed of Justice Ishaq Bello’s exhortation that political parties must
abide by their constitutions, the Electoral Act and the Constitution
of the country.

Signed:
Atiku Campaign Organisation
