Armed Robbery, Kidnap Kingpin Arrested In Imo, Police Recover Stolen Car

Charis was arrested when the police operatives bursted his criminal hideout at Mgbidi, the headquarters of Oru West Local Government Area of the State.

The Imo State command of the Nigeria Police Force has said that its anti-kidnapping operatives arrested a kidnap and armed robbery kingpin identified as Aralu Chukwudi Charis and recovered a stolen Toyota Camry Car from him. 

 

The Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, who made this known in a terse statement on Monday said that Charis was arrested when the police operatives bursted his criminal hideout at Mgbidi, the headquarters of Oru West Local Government Area of the State.

 

Okoye said that the 40-year-old Charis who hails from Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, masterminded several kidnapping, armed robbery and car snatching operations in Imo State. 

 

The police spokesperson said, “This suspect masterminded several kidnapping, armed robbery, and car snatching operations in Imo State. 

 

“The Toyota Camry Car you see was snatched by his syndicate and recovered in his criminal hideout at Mgbidi in Imo State by the ever-gallant operatives of Ant-Kidnapping.

 

“Eschew crime, perpetrators will eventually be arrested, exposed, and in most cases end in tragedy. Chukwudi will certainly have his day in court.”
