SaharaReporters had reported that some cult members attacked and wounded NANS leaders loyal to the association's factional President, Comrade Pedro Chibuzo Obi after their inauguration in Abuja on Monday.

SaharaReporters gathered that the cult members reportedly loyal to a factional president of the association, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, ambushed members of the Obi-led faction at Zone 8, Wuse Abuja and butchered them.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the staunch supporters of Obi who was brutally butchered was identified as Jeje from Kwara State.

One of the eyewitnesses told SaharaReporters on Tuesday that doctors were battling to save Jeje’s life in a hospital in Abuja.

"Yes, I got information that there was an election that produced two factions. One of the factions, led by Pedro Obi, held an inauguration yesterday in Abuja," a source told SaharaReporters.

"Unfortunately, one of his think tank leaders, Jeje, was ambushed and butchered. Jeje is now in one of Abuja's hospitals."

The source said some others were also stabbed.

A video seen by SaharaReporters shows some of the cult members hitting one of their victims with a machete in broad daylight.
