Nigerians on X, particularly customers of Access Bank have lamented the inaccessibility to their monies as the bank continued to battle network glitches.

A user, Vincent Ekpo said, “Hello Chacha, I was unable to sign in all through yesterday, but it's fine now. Thanks." 

 

Chidera Obed said, “@accessbank_help @myaccessbank  I made an airtime purchase and I haven't been credited. I humbly request the issues be look into and my phone line credited or better still  refund the money . Thanks” 

 

 

“@accessbank_help Please I did a transfer from my Stanbic account to access bank, though I've gotten a debit alert from @StanbicIBTC  Access have not credited me.  @access_more,” another user, Kane Lawson said. 

 

 

“Access bank get serious issue rn. I had unsuccessful transfer and got debited till now no reversal,” Samuel also added. 

 

 

Also, a short statement issued on Monday by an X user, PIDOMNIGERIA, stated that the father’s inability to transfer funds using his Access Bank mobile app resulted in the death of his daughter.

 

It was reported that the daughter, who was admitted to the emergency unit of an undisclosed hospital, was left unattended due to the failure of her parents to pay for her medical bill.

 

The father noted that the failure of the bank’s mobile app on May 5,  2023, made it impossible for him to pay the hospital bills.

 

The PIDOMNIGERIA statement reads, “A single dad follower of mine who works offshore and who is currently at work just reached out to me this morning crying bitterly.

 

"Failure of Access Bank @myaccessbank App to function since yesterday, has made him to lose his 9 year old daughter in a medical emergency. 💔💔😭😭."
