No More Delay: Declare Yaradua Incapacitated

The Save Nigeria Group, organized labour and other stakeholders in the Nigerian federation too numerous to mention here  met on Monday, February 8, 2010 and deliberated on the state of the nation. The group reviewed the refusal of the Executive Council of the Federation to boldly declare President Yaradua incapable of exercising executive function as mandated by Section 144 of the Constitution. The group views this failure as a serious breach of their responsibility and an act of aggression against the Nigeria people who have suffered the indignity of a President’s abdication of responsibility, which has damaged Nigeria's governance and reputation. The group is also displeased with the immoral politics of the leadership of National Assembly that has frustrated the efforts of some of the federal legislators who wanted to protect the constitution.

It is now clear to us that members of the so-called Yar'adua Kitchen Cabinet- the First Lady, Hajia Turai Yaradua, the Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Michael Aondoaaka, Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abba Ruma; the Chief Economic Adviser, Dr. Tanimu Yakubu, the Minister for the FCT, Alhaji Adamu Aliero, the National Security Adviser, Gen. Sarki Mukhtar and others are working hard to plunge Nigeria into chaos and disaster.

Their refusal to allow transition of power for the sake of the nation is an act of aggression against the nation and high treason. Obviously, they have resolved to invite the military to destroy Nigeria’s democracy instead of handing over power

We can no longer appeal to their good sense anymore. They have turned deaf ears to the appeals of several Nigerians including Eminent Elders Group, the media owners and other compatriots. We are listing them in the hall of infamy and asking Nigerians to hold them responsible for any consequence from this contrived crisis.  The issue at stake in this crisis is critical for the continued existence of Nigeria. We call on members of the Executive Council of Federation to do the right thing and declare at this meeting this Wednesday, February 10, 2010 that President Yaradua is incapable of exercising executive power having been incommunicado for 78 days. If they fail to do this, they risk the indeterminable wrath of aggrieved Nigerians. We can no longer wait. The threat to democracy is real and present. If the persons authorized by the constitution cannot act, the people will act.

Let us state clearly that we have started mobilizing the Nigerian people-workers, students, religious leaders and market women –to march through the streets of Abuja and shut down all activities in FCT forthwith until we get the resolution that will save democracy.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

Why we need to thank Mr Yar'adua..
Our dead President has successfully turned an average Nigerian to a constitutional Guru.I bet you, half of us posting comments today would not have done it if,the dead man remain dead..Even Pastors are now radicals.Dora finally found her voice. At last,Nigerians got to meet their President-Turai.Who knew she was elected?I didn't.I can't even pronounce our AGF's name,I just refer to him as the "Lunatic"...femioyetibo@yahoo.com ( member California Club).

Is NLC still existing ? The obvious answer is capital NO. We have been experiencing fuel Scarcity for months now, those bastards (Abdulwahed Omar and Co) are there feeding fat on labours' sweat and yet remain inactive/impotent. Let them be reminded that Egungun festival does not last forever.

As for this rally, lets march action with words. Now is the time because we have been taken for granted foe too long.

Umar NLC is using the comrade platform to play stupid northern politics. Members should revolt against him and throw him out, otherwise public sympathy for NLC is lost completely. How would the public support their selfish demand for increase in their pay, afterall Umar has been heavily settled by the kitchen cabinet. Shame. Civil disobedience will surely move all concerned to obey the Nigerian constitution. Whoever is thinking about military take over is living in a foolish estate as no such thing can occur: the people will defeat the army with the support of the international community. What the heroic military officers can do is to help the people deal with the so called kitchen cabinet by getting them to vomit all the loots of our collective resources.

Any human society or gathering that does not abide by certain constitution or laws governing norms and decorum of its members is a society of anarchy. If we cannot respect our code of conduct stated in the constitution to resolve unforeseen circumstances then how can we claim to be higher than animals. Why do we have the constitution in the first place? This man Aodankaa and Turai should go to where they belong to- the zoo or the dark ages of katstina. The are obviously not in the same mindset that we all pray for everyday, which will make us the envy of all Africa.

Obviously when you have bunch of people that are supposed to be in prison in civilized world leading a country like Nigeria, then you will not expect anything less than the barbaric attitude that we are witnessing. Otherwise how else will one explain the fact that these 'animals in human skin' cannot at least justify their semblance to human beings. One of the key things that differentiate humans from animal society is orderliness. A

Tunde Bakare and the rest of fellow Nigerians at home and abroad who believe that it is a task to save Nigeria, the time is NOW.We have talked, twittered, blogged, demonstrated, cajoled all and sundry and yet the clique think we can bark and not bite.I am convinced that we can teach them a lesson now-that we can bark to be heard and BITE for effect.Whatever we do must NOW be with TIME.We know the key figures in this struggle and it is time we elevated this struggle to teach them a lesson.Aondoakaa should be visited with the maximum force that will also be a deterrent to others. Each culprit will be visited at the appropriate time because the REVOLT is NOW.

About Goodluck; Many politicians claim that they do not know him, some are afraid that they treated him badly when they made the calls, others yet say "Since he does not have political IOU, it is difficult to hold him down and because he is not a rich man, he may not be interested in cutting deals here and there to the extent that he can just go in there and perform and if that is the case, he would have defeated the North/South dichotomy thing.'

It is not about Goodluck. It is about:
What does the constitution dictate?
What do the people say and want?
What can they do to ensure that their interests see the light of the day?
The Cabal eventually would have a lot to account for. Sirs, Continue the struggle and God Bless you all.
