'One Chance' Robbers Kill Another Woman In Abuja, Abandon Corpse By Roadside

The lifeless body of a middle-aged woman, Kadoon Louisa Lornumbe has been found by the roadside following an encounter with "one chance operators" at Tipper Garage Bridge near Mpape in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

 

 

SaharaReporters gathered that she died after she boarded a vehicle belonging to a gang of criminals otherwise known as "one chance operators."  

 

Last week, the corpse of an unidentified lady was found on Airport Road in the Lugbe area, also killed by the same criminals. 

 

The safety of residents has been a cause for concern in the nation’s capital, especially with incidents of robbers posing as commercial vehicle operators. Many residents have fallen victims to this set of people whose modus operandi is known as “One Chance”.

 

According to a video obtained by SaharaReporters, Kadoon was said to have left her house in the early hours of Thursday located in Mpape, a suburb of Abuja before she met her untimely death after an encounter with the men of the underworld.

 

According to a passerby who spoke in the video said “This Lady you are seeing lying down by the road, she was killed this morning by those bad people popularly called ‘One Chance.'  

 

"She was coming from Mpape. Please incase you know her share this video so that the sisters or relatives can see her. They killed her this morning. As we speak now her body is still on the tipper garage bridge." 

 

 

He also stated that some taxi drivers confirmed that they saw her on motorcycle while heading to Mpape Junction before she later boarded the vehicle of the criminal elements.

 

He urged the residents to be cautious of their movement, particularly those that normally leave their house in the morning. 

 

Recalled that activities of ‘One Chance Operators’ in the Federal Capital Territory ( FCT ) had been on the rise which had led to the death of many residents. 

 

The situation that made the residents to be living in fear of the unknown to avoid being the next victim.

 

The police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh also confirmed the incident saying that the Commissioner police has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident. 

 

She said the CP had directed the DC CID to conduct a discreet investigation to ascertain the identity of the corpse and equally find the remote cause of death noting that further development would be communicated.
